Beginning in 2014, the Public Service Pension Fund first collaborated with the Anguilla Community College (ACC) to assist Business Studies students with on the job training. Such training typically runs for three days to a full working week. In the past students covered topics related to the Pensions legislation, updating the Pension Database and assisting with various benefit calculations.

This year, the focus was on Customer Service and being the first point of contact in a business setting. From November 11-15, 2019, Mr. Edgiton Edrum had first hand training as the Pension Clerk at the Pension Fund office. Mr. Edrum was the first point of contact for customers, listened to and assisted customers with their various requests, managed incoming calls and directed them to the appropriate member of staff, assisted with the entering and uploading of data. He was taught to greet customers politely and listen attentively to their needs so that persons could leave the office feeling satisfied.

We wish Mr. Edrum the very best as he continues his studies and we were happy to be of assistance to him in this way. Thank you is also extended to his teacher, Ms. Annishka White for her continued dedication to academic excellence. The Public Service Pension Fund will endeavor to always be a conduit of learning for not only the students at ACC but all of Anguilla’s students.
